Walk 9: Hadrian’s Wall Rocks!
Ice, fire and water have all had a hand in creating our local landscape.
So sorry that this walk can no longer go ahead but it will be back again next year at Haltwhistle Walking Festival 26th April – 5th May 2025!
Join Ian Jackson, local geologist and author of the best-selling book, Northumberland Rocks, and travel back in time with him to explore how ancient rocks have created an outstanding landscape which is now designated as a World Heritage Site.
There are a couple of steep ascents to negotiate but the views and the knowledge gained will be well worth the effort.
This walk is accessible by AD122 bus from Haltwhistle and Hexham.
