Walk 21: Pennine Peaks and Valleys – Day 1 (Garrigill to Carrshield)
Beginning from the South Tyne valley at Garrigill, we set off deep into the North Pennines towards our destination at Carrshield on the banks of the River West Allen.
On our way we will pass an amazing waterfall, ascend onto fell tops with views along the Nent valley and beyond, hop between counties and walk through areas where lead was once king.
This walk is accessible without private transport as a coach picks us up from Haltwhistle Market Place.
