Festival Committee
As well as overseeing the development and delivery of the Walking Festivals our committee members are also walk leaders.
John Johnson
TreasurerJohn has been walking with the Festival for many years and has been key to the evolution of the Festival. He has been leading walks since 2012 and knows the area around Haltwhistle extremely well. He is a long standing member of the Festival Committee and acts as the Treasurer, making sure the books balance and that the Festival is financially viable. He is also involved with Leadership Training.
Catriona Mulligan
ChairpersonCatriona is a keen hill walker and has extensive experience of working in protected landscapes including National Parks, s World Heritage Site and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. She is Chair of the Festival Committee and is also involved with Leadership Training.

Jan Milward
Jan has been walking with the Festival since 2017 and is a trained Walk Leader. Since joining the Festival Committee in 2019, she has acted as our Haltwhistle Ambassador – liaising with businesses and other organisations in the town, making sure they know about the Festival, what it brings to Haltwhistle and promoting the Festival locally.
Anne E Palmer
Anne is a retired solicitor and has been walking with the Festival since 2014. She is a trained Walk Leader and joined the Festival Committee in 2017. Her roles involve promoting the Festival in local and national publications and also maintaining our profile on social media platforms. Anne also designs and leads some special interest walks around her home of Kirkwhelpington.
