Walk 15: St Oswald’s Way – Day 1. Alnmouth to Felton Thursday27th April 2023
After parking in Felton, we catch a coach to our starting point in the charming coastal town of Almouth with its colourful cottages and wonderful beach. We pick up the Northumberland Coast Path, past the golf club, before turning to head towards Warkworth and its famous castle. From here, the beautiful River Coquet guides us, as it winds through pastureland and woods, to our destination at Felton.
Distance: Approx 12 miles Grade: 4, Strenuous Ascent: 650 ft Descent: 560 feet
Meet: 08:50 at Felton to board a coach at 09:00 for the journey to Alnmouth
Parking: Please park considerately on the road beside the Village Hall (GR: NU183009) in Felton
Fee: £15 Places: 27
Bring: Packed lunch plus extra rations for a long day out.
