Walk 11: Walk and Feast

Tue 29th April 10:30am

Starting in the picturesque village of Whitley Chapel in Hexhamshire, this lovely walk takes in a mix of sights and terrain.

Wind your way along a combination of woodland tracks and farmland paths, as well as a stretch along the powerfully named Devil’s Water, a name which derives from the Celtic word for black stream. Afterwards we shall enjoy a village hall lunch including hot soup, cheese scones, tea, coffee and a plethora of sweet goodies all provided by Whitley Chapel Women’s Institute.
