Walk 5: Gibraltar and Derwent Tributaries
Tiny Blanchland punches above its weight for charm and history.
Today we follow two steep-sided, wooded valleys past the lonely Gibraltar farm, a tragic tale and tiny hamlets steeped in rural history. After the walk you can relax at the Crypt bar in the medieval vaulted chambers of Blanchland’s Lord Crewe Arms.
