Walk 7: Scenic Silverdale
Starting and finishing in the Village of Allenheads, this walk takes us along and above the beautiful East Allen valley.
Allenheads was founded around the lead mining industry and we will see lots of reminders, including the many reservoirs that gave it the nickname of ‘Silverdale’, as we go along. The route takes us through wonderful countryside, past an impressive former corn mill, along riverside paths and up onto the fells.
